Daily Devotions

Ps 127:1-2 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Did you know the word late is found just three times in the Bible and never refers to God in any way? Our God is never late. This is on my mind this morning because we began Daylight Savings Time yesterday and I must have been making up that hour with some sleep this morning. There are times when it is just good to get some sleep, to know the Lord is keeping the city, keeping my life, taking care of all that is around me and that He is watching over me. It is always good sleep when one places their life in the hands of our loving Lord.
