Col 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Perhaps a little later than usual this morning posting this as I did have an early morning errand to run but there is always time then to stop and read the Bible and pray. The only two times the word redeeming is found in the New Testament both point to redeeming time. The idea is that time should not be wasted because it can never be used again. What took place yesterday is gone, it cannot be bought back, so I needed to use that time wisely. Even now as this day is still young I need to think about what I will be doing, what will occupy my time. Will my time be used wisely seeking the will of God for each hour of this day? Will my time be used to speak to those in spiritual need about the Lord? Or will I look back on this day and wish I hade used my time more wisely? What will you do with your time today?
