The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

A very simple, timeless, and important statement is given to us in verse one of our reading this morning, “It is good to sing praises unto our God.” But there are so many times and circumstances in our lives in this world that make that command very hard to follow. Yet that is the key that unlocks all that our God is able to do for us in those times. Lets apply the next few verses to those going through the trials of life, through the dark valleys of life. Is there any other that can build you up, strengthen you as the Lord can? (Verse 2) Is there any other that you would rather draw you close when you feel cast down? (Vere 2) Is there any other that can heal your broken heart like the Lord can? (Verse 3) Is there any other than can bind us up, wrap our wounds with love and care as the Lord can? (Verse 3) Is there any other than knows you as our Lord does? (Verse 4) Is there any greater that we can call out to than our Lord? (Verse 5) Can any lift us up higher than our Lord can? (Verse 6) Is there any other than will cast down the enemy as our Lord can? (Verse 6) As praise unlocks all of those things that I need then I need to sing praises unto my God for all of His goodness toward me.
