Daily Devotions

2 Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

“Watch your step, be careful”, those are words of advice I have heard more times that I would care to count over the past few weeks and days. With the snow and cold it is easy to slip and fall especially when there is ice hidden under the snow. Hidden danger, things that are not seen. I think than of other things that are not seen that present a wonderful picture and not a dangerous one. I think of my Savior in heaven, the Father, a mansion prepared, streets of pure gold, loved ones who have died in the Lord and so on. I am looking at things that are not seen more and more everyday and they take all fear of hidden danger away for the things that present a danger now are but temporal while the things I am looking at today are eternal. Take some time today to look at things not seen that will fill you with the joy of the Lord.
