Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

The word redeeming is found two times in the New Testament and it means to make well use of. One thing we cannot get back, buy back, wish back or hope to get back is time. What was left undone yesterday cannot somehow be done yesterday, that time has passed. One day has already passed in 2026, what did we do for the Lord yesterday? Did we read the Bible, did we pray for others, did we do what we determined to do, or did we waste that precious time? What then will we do today? We can’t make up for wasted time yesterday but we can make well use of time today. We can spend that sweet hour in prayer with Jesus, we can read and meditate upon His Word, we can lend a helping hand to one in need, we can do what we know we should be doing. But will we, will we redeem the time we have been given today?
