Mark 10:32-34 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, 33?Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: 34?And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

There are many verses in the Bible that tell us we have no need to fear when we are walking with Jesus yet we find in verse 32 of Mark 10 that the disciples were afraid as they walked with Him. There will be times Christian when we are overtaken by fear. If that statement brands one as weak in faith then I must be numbered among them for there are times when we are afraid. Yet these are the times when we mus not run and hide, must not shrink away, these are the times when we need to draw the closer to Him. There are the times when we need be more given to His Word, given to prayer, and given to serve. In the military medals for bravery are not won by those without fear but by those who stood in the face of fear. At times we are afraid we need to walk closer to Him. What is it that you are afraidof today? Bring it to the Lord and stand by Him.
