December 10th, 2025 by Pastor Solley1 Thess 4:17-18 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
KJV
Words of comfort “So shall we ever be with the Lord.” The real comfort of those precious words are that we do not have to wait to meet the Lord in the air or for out heart to stop beating and meet the Lord in heaven for those words to be true in our lives. The Lord Jesus Christ is ever with those who have received Him as personal savior right now. (Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: ; Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) Both of those verses speak of the present, not the future. But will we take the time to be with Him, will we take the time to feel His presence, to speak to Him, to hear from Him today? His presence is felt when we spend time reading and in meditation upon His Word. His presence is felt when we spend precious time speaking to Him in prayer. His presence is felt when we sit silently before Him and think on the good things of God. If you seem to lack the comfort of the words in our verses this morning perhaps there is a need to spend time with Jesus today. You will find it is time well spent.
