A mystery is something hidden that can also be known if looked into. No one goes to a mystery theater and wants to leave not having the mystery solved. The word mystery is found twenty two times in the Bible with perhaps the most important being in our verse for this morning. It is a mystery of godliness and a mystery that needs to be revealed to all the world. This mystery beings with “God manifest in the flesh”, it begins with Jesus coming into this world. The world knows of this mystery, at least this part of it as the giving of the Som of God into the world will be celebrated at the end of this month. But how few in the world know why Jesus came or the importance of Him coming into this world. The world still needs the mystery revealed for very few people will stop and give thanks on December 25th for the shed blood of Jesus on the cross and the salvation offered through His great sacrifice. With how many people have you shared the truth of this mystery? Perhaps that is why so few have it solved. Let us this Christmas season tell others who need to know of this great mystery.
