Moses was given a look into the Promised Land and I have often wondered what the man of God thought as he looked at what God had promised to the children of Israel and I wonder how long Moses stood there looking at the land God had prepared for them? We do get some glimpses into heaven in our Bible, some idea of what is waiting for the child of God when he or she leaves this world that we know and I will often find myself thinking of heaven and the mansions that are being prepared. It is not wrong to spend some time thinking of heaven any more than it was wrong for Moses to look into the Promised Land for God took Moses to the top of that mountain and God has given us those looks into heaven in His Word. But we must also remember that Moses was not going to enter that Promised Land because he disobeyed God. One cannot enter into heaven unless they first believe and obey God. Believe that we are sinners and that sin will be judged. Believe that Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood, and rose from the grave and is alive today. Believe that the blood of Jesus can wash away our sin. And then obey God by confessing that we are sinners, repenting of that sin, and asking Jesus to save us. Then heaven will be yours as it is mine because we believed and obeyed God. When you look upwards at heaven are you looking for the place that will be your home one day?
