15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

It has been a long, long time now but there was a time when I heard people tell me to grow up. That most likely occurred when I was a teen and acted in a way that was far from gown up. That should never be something we hear as Christians as we are, from the moment of the new birth, to be found growing in the Lord. Many though seem to be satisfied with just being born and staying the same year after year after year. It is important that one be born of course but it is equally important that one grow. If a new born baby seems to be slow in growing parents take them to the doctor, want to have tests run, want to know why. That should also be true of the Christian when growth seems to be slow or none at all. Our physician is Christ, our medical book the Bible, our meeting room to hear instruction the church house, and our prayer closet the place where we get the test results. Does growth seem to be lacking in your spiritual life today? Then visit the great physician, read His medical book, listen to the instructions from pulpit, and spend time in the prayer closet. You will grow in the Lord.
