8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

It is the desire of most people to be successful in what they do, in work, in relationships, in marriage, in life, it is the desire of most people to be successful. Above is the only place the word success is found in the Bible. God is speaking to Joshua and Joshua needed to be successful as he
took over as the God appointed leader of Israel after the death of Moses. What would be the key to the success of Joshua? Following the Word of God. That is still the key to success in our lives today, following the Bible, being committed to obeying the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Why then do we so many times as not turn away from the Bible, turn away from the Word of God and try and make our own way through this life. If I want to be successful shouldn’t I want more and not less of the Lord and His Word? But so many times we make commitments to things that lead us away from the Lord, keep us out of the church house, take us away from the Bible, and keep us from success. Do you want to be successful? Make a commitment, sell out for the Lord and the Bible says we will have good success.
