August 13th, 2025 by Pastor SolleyPs 92:1-5 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
KJV
Can you say you are glad this morning? (Verse 4 above) What then are you glad about and how long does that gladness last? Are you glad about a new purchase? It will not be new for long. Are you glad about the weather? It will soon change. Are you glad about your health? I hope it does not change very soon but it will some day. What are you glad about and how long will that gladness last? If your are glad in the Lord Jesus Christ that never needs to change. If you are glad to know Him, to have His will in your life, to watch the work of His hands, to know that His thoughts are toward you, that never needs to change. I could begin this very moment to thank the Lord for His goodness toward me going back to Christian parents and grandparents, coming up through the years and it does take hours. But even a few moments of doing so brings a gladness to me. What are you glad about this morning? If that gladness is found in the Lord it never needs to end.
