46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Is there something that seems to be just out of your reach? You strive for that certain thing, you work towards it, but it seems to be always just out of your reach. The woman in our reading this morning was reaching for help, was reaching for a healing that was always just out of her reach. For twelve years she was reaching for a healing and although she spent all that she had on doctors and such it was just out of reach. Out of reach that is until Jesus came. Study this and you find that woman should not have been in the crowd that was following Jesus, should not have been able to get close enough to touch Jesus, but she had a need. It is no accident that she was able to get close to Jesus and touch Him for Jesus always makes a way for those seeking Him to find Him. What are you reaching for today that seems just out of your reach? Why not just come close to Jesus, why not reach out to Jesus, why not trust Him to meet that need whatever it is? That first need is to be saved, to be born again and Jesus is there to meet that need. That woman found more than a healing that day as I believer she found eternal life in Jesus as well. Reach out to Jesus and He will meet the need.
