Ezek 3:18-19 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
KJV
Paul Revere played an important role in the war for our independence but what he is most remembered for is the ride and the warning that “The British are coming”. Paul Revere sounded a warning. God also charged Ezekiel with the task of sounding a warning and the prophet did just that. We also have the task of sounding a warning today as God’s children, we are to warn people of hell and tell them of Jesus who died on a cross shedding His blood to save them from that hell. We seem to be willing to warn people about many things. When driving I will flash my headlights is there is an accident, a deer crossing the road or something on the road that the oncoming driver needs to be warned about. At the same time many seem reluctant to warn people about hell. To hand out a gospel track is to give a warning. To tell someone about Jesus is to give a warning. We are to sound a warning and when we do we may see them turn and follow Jesus. We are not to save, only Jesus can do that, we are to warn and we all can do that.
