Every verse in the Bible is important because every word of every verse is the pure, perfect, unchangeable, eternal, Word of God. Yet there are some verses that can be read over and over again and one can never seem to get the full impact of the verse such as above. Look at who God is in this verse. (1) The maker, the creator of all. God spoke and this world came into being, all of it, all at once. God is also our maker as individuals, our beginning is with the giver of all life, the God of heaven and earth, our maker. (2) God is to be our Lord, the one that directs our lives, orders our steps, is to be the master of our lives. (3) God is our redeemer. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, shed His blood and died on the cross to redeem us with His shed blood, to redeem us from Satan and sin and give eternal life to all who believe upon Him. (4) God is Holy, completely Holy and without sin and there is no darkness at all in God. (5) God will one day be called, and one day soon I hope, the God of all the earth. God is already God of all but one day every knee shall bow before Him and confess God and Jesus Christ as such. Not much in a single verse is there?
