Daily Devotions

1 Tim 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Our VBS is off to a good start and we ask for continued prayer throughout the week. I have chosen the above verse because I want to thank the Lord for the amount of young people from our church who have steeped into the roles of others who were so faithful to work in our VBS but have now gone on to be with their Savior in heaven. I think back over the years and remember all those who we did not think we could get along without and see how the Lord has placed the same burden to help in others and how they have responded. We still have those who have helped for so many years working again this year and they have no desire to stop but just like myself know younger ones are needed. We also had four babies with us yesterday whose mothers were working in classes and other areas and grandmothers and aunts there to watch the little ones. Not old enough to be in a class, we do have a class for two year olds, why bring them at all? Because those parents want those children to be in the house of God and that is a great blessing as well. We do serve a great God.
