Matt 19:13-14 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
KJV
Children in America today seem to be throw away items as so many grow up in broken homes, in abusive situations, and many aborted before they see the light of day. Christians are not to see children that way, they are to be valued and loved, cared for and prayed for because God places a very high value on children. The disciples thought Jesus should not be bothered by children and they were rebuked by our Lord. Children are very precious and need to be brought to Jesus early in life and often. What more could you want for your children than a relationship with Jesus Christ through the new birth and then a life lived for Christ? For that to happen they need to be brought to Jesus just as those in our verses this morning. We begin a week of vacation Bible school on Monday and we invite your children to come out and meet Jesus. I do ask for prayers throughout the next week for God’s protection as well as for souls to be saved and the Word of God to be planted deep within the hearts of the children as we depend on His promise that His Word does not return void.
