February 18th, 2011 by Pastor SolleyGen 50:19-21 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20?But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21?Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
Joseph is now 110 years old (Verse 22) and as he looks back on his life he makes this statement in the form of a question for his brothers, “Am I in the place of God?” It is not a question that Joseph needed answered but one that was aimed at getting his brothers to look at his life and see how Joseph stood in the place of God. No other verse sums up his life any better than this one. Joseph was a man who stood in the place of God. Can that be said of you today? That person you meet today, will they look at you and see someone who stands int eh place of God? Or will they see someone who stands int eh world? Think about that as you begin this day. What will others see in you?
