April 23rd, 2025 by Pastor Solley2 Peter 1:5-9 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
KJV
How many things do you forget? With age comes wisdom so it is said but there are other things that come with age as well and I do find myself forgetting certain things from time to time. A doctor appointment if it is not written down where I can see it and so on. I may go to the market and come back lacking a few things if I did not make a list. There are even times I am driving in the car and have to stop and think of where I am going. But there is something I never want to forget and that is the day and the one who purged me from sin, the one who save me, the one who gave His life for me. I talk to some people and they tell me they can’t remember the day there were saved and that I can’t imagine. How could one ever forget the most important thing that ever took place in his or her life? I have never got over being saved and I never want to. I have never forgotten that day and I never want to. Many years have passed but I still remember and I want to by the grace and power of my Savior live a life that reflects that I have not forgotten.
