Is this a “Good Friday” for you? This is the day set aside to remember Jesus Christ going to the cross, Good Friday. But is it a good Friday for you? Not if you leave Jesus on that cross as so many do. Jesus, God in the flesh, did go to that cross, did shed His blood there as the sacrifice for the sins of the world and for you sin and mine. We need remember the cross. But Jesus did not remain on that cross and Jesus did not remain in the grave, Jesus Christ arose! Even today as I thank Him for going to that cross for me I do not look for Him there or in the grave, I look at a living Savior, one who defeated sin and death, one who is alive and forgave me of my sin and one who is coming back for me one day. I look at Jesus that way because I did see my sin, did see the need to be forgiven, did see a Savior, and repented of my sin and asked Him and Him alone to save me. This is a very Good Friday for me. I pray it is for you as well.
