Ps 5:1-3 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
KJV
How will you begin your day this morning? Will it be a rushed time as you get out of bed, get dressed, and off to work? Or will it be a time when you talk with God, meditate upon His Word, and ask for Divine guidance, direction, and protection for the day? Will you have time to pray for your family and the needs of your church family? How will you begin your day this morning? I realize that not all can begin their day with hours devoted to prayer and the Word of God but it is also true that all could rise up early enough to give God some time and then the time God deserves later after the day winds down. But will you give God any time at all? The man after God’s own heart, David, made sure to give God time in the morning and David had busy days. I believe it is safe to say that the blessings that fell on David fell because of the time he spent with God. When we seem to lack the blessings of God in our lives today it could be a time problem. Spend more time with God.
