Lam 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

How many of us like new things? I know when I am given the choice between something new and something old I would rather have the new. We see above that God has something brand new for us every morning, His mercy and His compassion are new every morning. We don’t live as believers in Christ on yesterday’s blessings, we have new every morning. I like new things. Did you know God likes new things as well? (2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.) We are new in Christ the moment we are born again and we are then to walk as if brand new. (Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.) We are to yield to the Holy Spirit within and allow Him to lead us in this new life in Christ. (Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.) I know I like something that is new and I hope by the leading and power of the Holy Spirit within to present myself new to Jesus Christ my savior today. God likes new things too.
