1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
KJV
How often dear Christian do you contemplate the love of God and the love that God has for you? There are times when the trials and circumstances of life can be used by the enemy of our soul to cause us to wonder if God really does love us. When we are moved to such a place we need to stop and contemplate the love of God and how much God does love us. (Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.) Not only did Christ die for us, Christ lives for us today. (Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.)
I fell asleep last night in the love of Christ, I woke up this morning in the love of Christ, I will travel today in the love of Christ, I will do many things today, see many things, think many things, say many things, and all of them done in the love of Jesus Christ for me. Someone loves me today, someone will love me tomorrow, and that someone will never keep His love from me. When I stop and meditate upon that truth it gives such a comfort, such a strength, brings such a peace that I want to proclaim just how much my Lord loves me.
