One more thing about Joseph that made him a just man before God. Joseph faced all the hardships of life while being faithful always to the Lord and finishing the work that God gave him to do in looking after the child born to Mary. How do I know this? There is often just as much to glean from what is not said in the Bible. Nothing negative at all said about this Joseph. Nothing negative said about his family and there were children born to Mary that Joseph did father. Nothing negative said about them. Joseph taught his children to work as we see Jesus known as a carpenter as well as others born into that family. Joseph was a just man and while there are no statues for him, not many messages preached about him, he was called just by God. What greater honor could be paid any man? Joseph was a just man and did leave an example to follow.
