John 14:1-6 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I will conduct a funeral service this morning for one who did know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior, for one who had found that one an only way to salvation. That makes all the difference my friend, have you been born again? I have conducted hundreds of funeral services over the years, for dear saints of God, as well as for others that I did not know and did not know they were saved. On the day of the funeral many want the minister to preach their loved ones into heaven but he does not have the authority or ability to do that, only Jesus saves. If he is honest before God he cannot lie to the grieving family and that service leaves one without any assurance and no hope. But when one is born again, when that was the testimony they had and lived the funeral service in one filled with hope and assurance. Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior this morning? He and He alone can save, He and He alone gives hope and assurance of eternal life.
