Not a happy thought to start the day with I know. The church at Corinth was one known for problems and sin. It was common knowledge in the community the sin that was in this church and it did much I am sure to harm the work of God. I wonder today what we are known for? Known for as individuals and known for as a church. When people see you, when they see me, what do they know us for? Do they look and say, there is a Christian, there is an honest person, there is a person we can trust. Or are there other images that pop up first? There is the one who is more concerned with money than anything else, there is the one who will lie as soon as not, there is the one has all the toys the world has to offer. There can be worse things as well. There can be things not so bad. There is the sports fan, there is the baseball player, there is the car nut and so on. What do people commonly know about you? Is it something that will help build the church, get souls saved? Or is it something that will hinder that? What are you commonly known as?
