Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Yesterday we noted that the Good Shepherd gave His life for the sheep. The value of one lost sheep was worth the life of our Good Shepherd. (Matt 18:12-13 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.) Praise God that we are of such value to the Good Shepherd. Today we see that the Great Shepherd lives for His sheep, that He is alive forevermore, His is an everlasting covenant. Jesus Christ, our Great Shepherd lives for us today. He is right now making intercession for you who are of His flock in heaven. (Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.) My Great Shepherd looking out for me, praying for me, representing me in heaven and all because I trusted Him as my Good Shepherd. I need people praying for me today, I need my church family praying for me today, I need the prayers of family and friends. Above and beyond that I need my Great Shepherd watching out for me, making intercession for me. The only way I can face this day is with the knowledge that my Great Shepherd lives fore me. Do you know Him today?
