Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

What a wonderful verse we find in the 16th Psalm. But how does one get to that place of fulness of joy? Joy seems to be missing from most lives today as it has been replaced by worries and fears. What does the future hold? What will the election bring? What of failing heath and growing older? There are many things that can snatch joy from us, so how do we get to that place of fulness of joy? The answer is found in the first verse of Psalm 16. (Ps 16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.) Just how much or how little do we trust the Lord? If we have trusted Jesus with our eternal soul then why not trust Him with our everyday lives? There is fulness of joy when there is fulness of trust. Can one be found without the other? I think not, so when joy seems to be lacking trust must be as well. When we learn to trust completely in Christ for all and everything we will find our joy will become full.
