Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4?To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5?Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6?Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7?That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8?Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9?Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
As A Christian did you or do you ever stop to think about how much of our lives rests on something we have never seen, someone we have never seen? Our assurance of eternity in heaven, deliverance from hell, security of life, peace of mind all depend on someone we have never seen. This should show us how important the Bible, the Word of God needs to be in our lives. Jesus loves me, but how do I know? The Bible tells me so. Jesus died for me, but how do I know? My name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, but how do I know? He will never leave or forsake me, but how do I know? God answers prayer, but how do I know? He does all things well, but how do I know? Before one can live these things one must believe them through the Bible. It is any wonder then that Satan attacks the Word of God? Pick up your Bible this morning, the King James Bible, and read what God has for you and believe it, for the Bible tells you so.
