Daily Devotions

December 30th, 2010 by Pastor Solley

Ecclesiastes 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

These are good words to meditate upon as we come to the close of another year. I am not sure what 2010 held for all who may be reading this devotional. For many as they look back they will see trials that they never saw coming or they did not think they could ever get through. Others see great blessings from God standing out. Some will remember 2010 as one of the better years of their lives and others as one of the hardest. But this one things is sure for the Christian, “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” As we consider the trials of the past year let us remember they have brought us closer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Be patient Christian and press on for “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” Even the blessings of God cannot be held up to what is coming, “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” Remember Christian this world is not our home we are just passing through and “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.”
