Ps 118:19-20 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

A righteous man is a man who knows God, a man who has a relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, a saved man. There is none righteous, no, not one the Bible states in Romans 3:10 and that is true of all men and women until one repents of sin and calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness. With God’s wonderful salvation through Christ comes the declaration that we have been made righteous in Jesus Christ. But that is not the end, it is only the beginning and there is set before each born again individual a gate of righteousness that we can go in. There is set before us a better way of life, a life of right living. How many will walk through that gate? God desires all to live a life pleasing to Him just as God desires all to be saved. That gate is open before us this morning and we need to chose to walk through. Will my actions today, my thoughts, my words be ones that show I have walked through that gate? I will not be perfect today but I can live in a way that brings honor and glory to my Savior because He has opened that gate unto me. But will I walk through that gate?
