February 13th, 2024 by Pastor Solley2 Kings 25:27-30 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
28 And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
29 And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

Here we have the account of Jehoiachin being released from prison and then provided for the rest of his life. Note in verse thirty that he receives a daily rate. He was given exactly what he needed for each day, nothing more and nothing less. It reminds me of the blessing, the provision, and the grace of God imparted to the born again believer as we receive from the Lord exactly what we need for each day. We do not need the blessings of next week, the provision of next month, the grace of next year, we need and receive our daily rate. God knows exactly what you and I will need for this day and that will be graciously provided. God knows exactly what is going to touch us today and will provide the grace needed, the provision needed and even the blessings needed for this day. Tomorrow will be another day and those things will be provided then as well. Praise God for His daily rate that is given to each and every child of His.
