Col 3:15-16 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
KJV
Another key to having the peace of God rule in our hearts is found in verse sixteen and is something that people have moved away from today, Christian fellowship. Note that we are to admonish one another. We cannot admonish one another if we are isolated. One thing that Satan used COVED to do was isolate people and isolate Christians. Stay apart, move apart, don’t talk, cover your face, be alone and be safe. That is not what we need and the Bible clearly states that we need fellowship. (Eccl 4:9-12 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.) Some have still not returned to the church house as they choose to remain isolated and alone. Who better to be around, who better to spend time with than brothers and sisters in Christ? In Christian fellowship we find encouragement, we find sympathy, we find love and support and all those things allow the peace of God to rule in our hearts. I have talked to soldiers who have stated it is not good to be alone on the battlefield. We stand today on a spiritual battlefield and it is not good to be alone, we need Christian fellowship.
