Job 38:1-4 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
KJV
There are a lot of questions asked in the book of Job. The three friends of Job ask him questions, Job ask them questions, God is asked questions by both. There are a lot of questions asked in the book of Job but the questions asked by God in verse four above answers all of the others. Where was Job and his friends where the foundations of the world were laid? Only one is all-powerful, only one is all-knowing, only one is able to work out all things our according to His perfect plan and will, only one. Only one is worthy of man’s trust, only one is worthy of worship and praise, only one is above question. Through the next three chapters God asks Job some questions that Job cannot answer but they do bring Job to the place where he just turns all over to the Lord and then Job finds himself once again in the blessings of God. Do you have questions for God today? Why not just listen to the questions of God in the last few chapters of the book of Job and trust as Job did. Perhaps we will also see great blessing in our life when we just learn to trust instead of questioning God.
