Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
KJV
Spent a lot of time yesterday sitting in my truck waiting for roads to clear in the winter storm that seemed to just stop everything. I hope traffic gets moving. I hope it was not a bad accident. I hope I can arrive at my destination in time. I hope roads will clear and I can get home quickly. A lot of hope about things beyond my control yesterday. Above is a present hope. A hope that is realized when one receives Jesus Christ as his or her personal savior. Above is real hope. I was thinking yesterday about how many people had the same hope that I do sitting along that roadway, about the hope that becomes ours when we are saved and that is something we can control. We can, you can decide to repent of sin and receive Jesus Christ today. We can, you can look to Christ for guidance and direction each day. You can control hope and when one has Jesus Christ it is hope that is real. What is your hope today? Is you hope in things beyond your control or is your hope in the Lord Jesus Christ? Decide to receive Christ today, decide to follow Christ today, decide to give all of your life to Jesus Christ today and make your hope real and steadfast.
