January 1st, 2024 by Pastor SolleyLuke 13:6-9 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Another year begins today and here in PA we have snow on the ground, new fallen snow. After a while I will go outside and make tracks in the snow as I go about the day. They will show where I have been as well as where I am going. The tracks left in 2023 show where I have been. Did I do what I should have according to the Word of God? Did I serve the Lord Jesus Christ well? What type of tracks did I leave? More important are the tracks I will leave in this New Year for they will show where I am going. Am I going in the direction God wants me to go? Am I doing what God wants me to do? If someone were to have followed my tracks in 2023 would they have found themselves closer to the Lord? What of my new tracks in 2024? I am not one to make New Years’s resolutions but this should be my resolve in 2024, to leave tracks that when followed lead others closer to the Lord. Have a good New Year’s Day but more important leave good tracks to follow in 2024.
