Ps 83:1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
KJV
There are times when we need to hear the voice of God. Times when we need wisdom, times when we are troubled, times when we need to hear the voice of God. The Psalmist was in one of those times and he pleaded for God to let Himself known, for God to move in his life. When we experience times like those we need call out to our God in prayer all the more. Our God is never silent, our God is never still, our God always offers peace. When it seems the opposite we need to call upon our God all the more. Reading this Psalm one finds many things that Asaph was dealing with, many tings that distressed him, many things that might cause him to think God was silent, that God was not moving on his behalf, many things that would take away peace from his heart and soul. What to do? Call out to God even more, plead for God to “Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still”. When we experience those times in our lives we need to repeat the prayer of this man and call out to our God even more.
