Phil 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
KJV
This is of course Thanksgiving week with our national holiday on Thursday. Thanksgiving has for as long as I can remember been my favorite holiday. When I was a youngster family would gather almost every year in my parents home is seemed. Long ago pap and gram, mom and dad, my sister, aunts and uncles, cousins, and there were many of them, together on Thanksgiving Day. A huge meal, good fellowship with those loved ones made a special day. As the years have gone by things have changed and none of those from long ago will be at our table this year. The next time I see most of them will be in heaven. But we will have a full table this year with loved ones, children and grandchildren, spouses as well. Things do change but one who never does is my Savior and He is good and always good and is to be praised. Will you praise Him with thanksgiving, are you praising Him with thanksgiving today? This week I want to look at things we have to be thankful for and if you think you have little to be thankful for today begin to lift your eyes toward haven and look to the one who died to save you from sin and praise Him today. If you don’t know Him then humble yourself before Him, repent and ask Him to save you and you will have much to be thankful for today.
