John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.

Now I lay me down to sleep, my soul I pray the Lord to keep. Those were words I used to pray when I was very young just before mom had tucked me into bed at night. As a very young boy I had no idea of the depth or the truth of those simple words. Today as a born again believer in Jesus Christ I no longer say those words to begin night time prayers but the truth of those words continues to stand out. Is there any more capable of keeping our soul? Can you think of a safer place to be than in the hand of our Savior? Jesus said that NO man will be able to pluck us out of His hand. Jesus said He will never allow us to perish. Those are unconditional promises made to the one who has placed faith and trust in Him for eternal life. There are a great deal of things in this world that cause a great deal of concern and worry. One thing the true believer in Christ never needs worry about is whose hand we are held in.
