Ps 84:1-6 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
KJV
The valley of Baca was known as the weeping valley and it was associated with grief and sadness. Every child of God will experience times of grief and sadness, times of weeping over and over again in this world. Jesus did not pray that we be taken out of this world before our time, He promised to be with us through those times of sadness and grief. We note in our Psalm that the one who longs for the Lord, who males the Lord his or her dwelling place and their strength will even find that dark valley of Baca filled with refreshing pools. The Lord will continue to pour upon us those sweet showers of blessings even as we stand in the valleys that come into our lives. Are you making the Lord Jesus Christ your strength today? Are you willing to stand in His house today? Are you longing to feel His presence in your life? When those answers are yes you will find your valley of Baca filled with refreshing pools of water, you will experience the rain coming down in showers of blessings.
