Why is the Christian commanded to be different? Life is much simpler when everything is the same. Most chain stores are laid out the same even though they are in different locations. There are two stores that are the same about thirty miles apart where I live and I go to both living between them. But one is laid out different than the other and I noticed that the very first time I walked into that store. In the store it causes some inconvenience for me but I still remember the store because it is different. It may seem to be inconvenient for us as Christians to be different but that is a difference the world needs to see and a difference the world will remember. It is also a difference that will eventually attract. The world will see not only that the Christian is different but the joy that is ours and comes with knowing Jesus Christ as savior. The world will see that the Christians is spared from many of the problems that so many people have because he or she is different. When we come out from the world, when we are different than the world we give the world reason to look to Christ and look for the better life that is offered in Jesus Christ. It is not a bad thing to be different.
