8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

What beautiful words, what a wonderful truth. Saw another good friend leave this world for a far, far better one. I think of this verse often in times of what we call loss and try and remember our loved ones have not been taken, they have been delivered. Try and remember they have not been lost for we know where they are. And try to picture the place they are now walking and the life they now have. Death is never welcomed in this world but when one dies in the Lord the Bible tells us it is precious. (Ps 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.) Precious truth and it brings precious thoughts. But one must die in the Lord, one must be born again, one must have that time when they repent of sin and call out to Jesus Christ for salvation and forgiveness. My friend did that many years ago and that faith now is complete. But are you born again this morning? Have you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior today? Ask yourself this question; if you were to leave this world this very day and God would ask you why He should let you into His kingdom, what would your answer be? We will answer that question this week but for today what would your answer be?
