Psalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2? Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3? For I acknowledge my transgressions: And my sin is ever before me. 4? Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done this evil in thy sight: That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest. 5? Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me. 6? Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7? Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

When I awoke yesterday the temperature was 54, after a few hours I went outside and found it sleeting and the temperature was 34. Soon it began to snow and the ground and the roads were covered. As I went to Clearfield I found the roads slippery and saw where there had been a few accidents. I thought what a change in a very short time. Warm to cold, rain to snow. It all changed so quickly. It reminds me of how God can change us in a moment of time from a lost sinner to a saved saint, from a child of the devil to a child of God, how our sins are washed away by the blood of the Lamb of God and we are made whiter than snow. Isn’t new fallen snow a beautiful thing to look at? The ground all covered, no tracks, no mud, no grime, everything so white and beautiful. They say that white is not a color but I disagree, there is no more beautiful color than than of new snow. And that is what Jesus Christ makes us when we call out to Him in repentance for salvation, whiter than snow. One thing I like so much about winter is that it gives me a daily reminder of what Jesus Christ has done for me. New fallen snow is a beautiful thing.
