2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Have your ever stopped to think of how many people pray each day, some several times a day, to gods that cannot hear? So many offer up prayers that never reach above the rooftop. Not so when we know Jesus as our savior, when we have a personal relationship with the very Son of God. We do find the mercy of God, new everyday, when we cry out to our Lord. (Lam 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.) We never find our God asleep or doing other things.
(1 Kings 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.) We find our God with His ear already bent to us, listen for us, waiting for us to call upon Him. (Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.) With all of these things true, why don’t we pray more? Today my friends is a day when we can all upon our Lord, our God, our savior. Why not pray more?
