Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4?Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
1 Thessalonians 1:2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 3?Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Do you ever take the time to just say thank you to someone for what they have done for you, what they have done in the Lord, do you ever take the time to say thank you? I am not writing this to get a thank you, but have you ever stopped to just say thank you to someone whom you know prays for you, for someone who holds you up before the Lord, for someone who serve the Lord, preaches the gospel, tells others about Jesus? Have you ever taking the time to say thank you? The reason I know most Christians never do is that we seldom take the time on a daily basis to thank God for what He does for us.
A few years ago I looked up a pastor from my youth. He was not the pastor where I went to church but was one who organized the youth camps I went to and I knew his boys quite well being from the same town for a time. When I walked into his office I told him I just wanted to tank him for the influence he has been in my life through his preaching and example as a teenager. He had moved away and it was a drive to get there but I just wanted to tell him thanks. We had a wonderful visit and as I left he told me that this was the only time anyone had ever met with him just to tell him thanks. I thought of that as I left and I think of it today. Have you ever taken the time just to say thank you to someone who labors in the Lord?
