Daily Devotions

Prov 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
One thing freedom does or should do is bring safety. In our nation today that has changed and one hardly feels safe anymore with the defunding of our police and the wave of violence we see. We have people in office who promote these things and have no desire to change them. Not so with our freedom in Christ. Not only does faith in Jesus Christ bring freedom, it brings safety as well. The child of God will face many evils in this world, but we need not fear as those apart from Jesus Christ do. The Bible tells us “ If God be for us, who can be against us?” And in another place “ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Faith has truly replaced fear in the life of the redeemed in Christ. Do you know Him, Jesus Christ, as your personal savior today? When that answer is yes we feel so safe in the arms of Jesus. If that answer is no why not turn to Him today?
