Do works really follow? The answer to that of course is yes because the Bible says that they do. There are rewards that will be given out in heaven for faithful service for the Lord, five crowns are named in the Bible and there may be more. But works continue to follow in this world as well. I am moved to recall recently some of the Pastors that had influence upon me while I was growing up, several of them, and their works continue to follow them as I still remember sound advice and Godly examples. Why is it so important to live for the Lord, to obey the Bible, to serve the Lord? Because others are watching you, listening to you, and will remember you after you depart this life. What will they say about your life and the influence you had upon them? Will they say that your life mattered for the Lord? Will they say they were moved closer to the Lord by your example? What will they remember about the works that follow you?
