Lam 3:21-24 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

I like new things. Some people like antiques, some like things that are broken in, some like older things, but I like new things. When I think of the Lord and salvation, when I think of our walk with Christ as born again believers I think of new things. God has something new for us each day. (Verses 22-23) Salvation in Christ should never become stale to the child of God. Salvation should never become old for the Christian for Christ has something new for us each and every morning. Birthdays when I was younger, Christmas day, anniversary days, special days, I have always liked to wake up to something new. What a wonderful gift we have in salvation in that Christ has something new for us each morning. Great is our God and great is His faithfulness in granting us, granting me, something new each morning. Rejoice in the newness of your salvation this morning and praise His name.
