November 22nd, 2010 by Pastor SolleyRevelation 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13?And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14?And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15?Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16?They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17?For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Here is a day of thanksgiving to look forward to. I love Thanksgiving Day and the days just before and after. When I was young it meant a day with family dropping in, playing with cousins, seeing aunts and uncles. Then here in PA hunting season starts the next week for deer. An exciting time for a boy. As I grew older it always meant a day with mom and dad, then my wife;s parents through the evening. A wonderful time. Now my mom, Howard and June(My in-laws) are in heaven and things have changed. My little girl lives far away, my son is grown, things have changed. But Thanksgiving Day is still the same and in some ways even better. Now I look back and than Jesus so much for how He has blessed and what He has given to me. But I also look ahead with excitement at that Thanksgiving Day that will take place in His very presence and also to seeing again those who have gone on before. I love Thanksgiving.
