June 7th, 2023 by Pastor SolleyGen 7:13-17 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

Was the faith of Noah rewarded? Was the work of Noah rewarded? The answer to both is yes as the Lord shut Noah in that ark which became an ark of safety. God did not shut him in because of his work but because of his faith, fath was first. Noah still had to go through that storm and flood and I can’t imagine that there were not many times of fear as the storm raged outside and the ark was thrown about as the fountains of the deep were broken up. But Noah was safe in the ark, he and his, all they needed to do was trust the Lord. So are we in an ark of safety when we place our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation must come first and that salvation which is so free to all who will call upon the name of the Lord will not exempt us from the storms of this life. But even as the storm rages and the waters of life are troubled we still are in the ark of safety because Jesus Christ has shut us in. No matter what we may go through or are going through in this life we still abide in the ark of safety when we abide in Jesus Christ.
